About Book Nook Bookstore

Book Nook Bookstore opened its doors on February 9, 2008.

Book Nook Bookstore is managed by a former librarian who worked in public libraries in Michigan, Washington D.C, and Virginia for the past 10 years. She has worked as an adult and a children's librarian.

Book Nook Bookstore was designed with the idea that families should have a place to come and buy good quality books for children and adults in their own community. We believe that bookstores bring value and character to a community and we strive to be a part of this thriving diverse community in Hyattsville, Maryland.

We carry a variety of adult bestsellers and non-fiction subjects including health,cooking, art, decorating and African-American fiction. Book Nook Bookstore specializes in children's books, educational toys, and play items. We have a large selection of books about princesses, ballerinas, tea parties, trains, firefighters, dinosaurs, and other subjects that children love.

Although we are a small bookstore we sometimes may not have a title you are looking for but we will gladly special order your request. Special orders usually take a few business days and does not require any additional charges.
